Many people debate on whether or not you can make more money by focusing on one website or plenty of small websites but the fact is that you can make money in both ways depending on how you do it. Since you can earn money through both, I will discuss the ways that you can do so here. I am on both sides so I will not be focusing on one only.
Making Money with One:
Yes it’s true that the more time you spend on a website, the higher the website’s worth can come up. You will only have to focus on one specific website and not have to think about the other hundreds of others you have so you can do a lot with this website. Focusing on content, traffic, and design won’t be very hard so brining in some website revenue won’t be hard. Matt Coddington had brought out his NetBusinessBlog website on January 2007 and sold it four to five months later and he had sold it for $13,000. He spent quite of his time on this blog and made about $1,500 a month from it. This is some good money so that shows that you can make a lot of money just by focusing on one website. Many other webmasters does the same but this is my most recent publicized one that I’ve seen so far. The thing that you will have to worry about is picking the right niche that you really like. Picking something that you do not like, will end up making you want to stop what you were beginning to achieve.
Making Money with a Few:
It’s true that you can make less money by making a few rather than one but if you do it the right way, then you can possibly rank up more cash by doing this. In order to do this, you can start a small network and start building self ran websites. These are websites that runs itself. All you have to do is, is put the site up and let the visitors enjoy your website. A few examples of self ran websites can be arcade, proxy and upload websites. Your visitors do not need you to be able to enjoy these services. You simply need the content on there so that they can enjoy. A few big websites that currently runs itself can be Youtube, Myspace and Wikipedia. Yes, these websites are worth in the millions and billions of dollars right now and does not need much work besides upgrading your website and keeping it up. There can be a lot more factors but updating your site is done by your visitors, not you!
As you can see, you can make money in both sides. It doesn’t really matter if it’s only one or if it’s too many. You will only need to focus on what you are trying to do no matter what to be able to achieve your goals.
